Did Cooking Make Us Human?
Was cooking one of the main factors that affected who we are today? In this movie we found out the features that may have cause our dominance on this planet. In the beginning of the movie a group of people were part of an experiment which should show us that early ancestors didn't eat meat, but only ate fruits and vegetables. the people lost weight through the week because they weren't used to not eating meat. This proves that that the earliest ancestors didn't eat meat. Even their teeth show us that they wouldn't be able to chew on meat or cooked meat. Later on when they learned how to hunt and eat raw meat their teeth changed too. the teeth got sharper and allowed them to rip the meat. then when they learned how to create and maintain fire they started to cook meat. it is proved that when you eat cooked food it gives you more energy. Since they started to cook food they didn't need to eat a lot, so their stomachs got smaller and brains bigger. cooking could be one of the key factors of our evolution.
